The Perot Museum

On Monday, my family and I took a trip to the Perot Museum of Natural History and Science in Dallas for my sister's birthday. The Museum opened for the first around the first week of December. It has three floors of exhibits and it houses many archaeological finds from right here in Texas as well as the third largest gold nugget in the world, weighing over 50 pounds.  It also houses a Mososaur identical to the one someone found not far from our house. We were also excited to discover that the "shark" teeth we thought we had found in a local river were actually Mososaur teeth. (We have found shark's teeth too..)  Here are a few pics taken throughout the day...

  3. It's amethyst. I think they said it's the largest piece in the the world or something like that. It ways about a ton, too.
